Towards better public procurement of cloud services in Europe A Digital Single Market will enable better public procurement of cloud services in Europe by facilitating common definitions of requirements and increasing the potential for joint procurement across borders. Pooling common public requirements could bring higher efficiency, reduce costs and enable interoperability. Higher quality services, more competition, rapid standardisation and better market opportunities for SMEs can also benefit the private sector. A4Cloud Accountability for Cloud and Other Future Internet Services Accountability is probably the most critical prerequisite for effective governance and control of corporate and private data processed by cloud-based IT services. A European Trusted Cloud ecosystem - EIT Digital Workshop This workshop will determine the next generation European Trusted Cloud ecosystem in order to find ways to create European solutions for European companies and how to comply with the European Privacy legislation (GDPR). The goal of the workshop is to extend the partnerships (direct opportunity for all participants), find new practical partnerships to establish practical solutions on top of existing services and also find the gaps in offering and opportunities to create new trusted services for the portfolio. We will also explore the possibility to create a European label for trust providers in the cloud. The workshop is interactive session where comments and proposals as well as matchmaking between vendors is possible and desired.
