Poster Session

The Cloudscape networking area just bustles with activity and engaging discussions during our breaks. The top-notch facilities make it the perfect space to show your new technology in action with a demo or perfect pitch poster - AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

⇒ Apply to display a poster to broadcast your work or project at our poster session.

Posters are displayed during the event as well as online.

Interested in submitting and presenting a poster? Here are some practical tips:
• The poster should be designed by a communication specialist and graphic designer. It is their job to convey information clearly and concisely, as well as make the poster visually attractive to the audience.
• Balanced composition: the text and graphics should be visually attractive. Use white space creatively to define the flow of information
• Large font size: 36 or 48 and even 72 for titles. Times New Roman or Arial are the easiest fonts to read. Light backgrounds and dark letters are usually easier to read but Cloudscape likes creative thinkers.
• Networking at Cloudscape is an important opportunity to present your poster. To make a good impression, give the big picture, explain why the subject is important and use the graphics to illustrate and support your key points. Be prepared!

Please note that you are responsible for the poster printing and trasportation.

SPECS – Secure Provisioning of Cloud Services based on SLA Management

The poster will illustrate the Security SLA model proposed by the SPECS project and the details of the SPECS framework providing a set of services and security mechanisms to manage a Security SLA in its lifecycle and develop cloud applications with guaranteed security propertie

IOStack: Software-Defined Storage for Big Data

The IOStack project aims at improving the consumability of Cloud storage for Big Data thanks to flexible, automated, and cost-effective data management models built upon Software-defined Storage (SDS). Particularly, IOStack will put the emphasis on creating an open SDS platform that provides Big-Data Cloud analytics at low cost, but also efficient and policy-driven access to Big Data volumes and object stores from computing platforms.

Cloud Federation and Multi-cloud Application Deployment for Bioinformatics Research

Cyclone aims to develop a software platform and a set of tools for the deployment, management and execution of applications in multi-cloud environments. Security and optimal use of computing resources are the key concerns in the project. In this poster, we illustrate "CYCLONE approach" over two usecases in the bioinformatics domain.

Accountability in the Cloud

This poster is concerned about the foundations for an accountability-based approach when dealing with personal data in the cloud. In particular, it will present an accountability model consisting of accountability attributes, practices and mechanisms. The accountability model underpins an accountability lifecycle that enables relevant practices and mechanisms supporting them. The poster will emphasise how organisations may benefit from adopting such an approach in order to be accountable in the cloud.

PaaSword - A Holistic Data Privacy and Security by Design Platform-as-a-Service Framework

PaaSword aims at fortifying the trust of individuals and corporate customers in cloud services and increasing the adoption rate of cloud-based solutions by securing the most critical target, the data persistency layer and the database itself. PaaSword introduces a holistic data privacy and security by design framework with main aim to protect users’ sensitive data stored in the cloud. The framework is based on a searchable encryption scheme enhanced with sophisticated context-aware access control mechanisms.

CloudLightning: Self-Organising Self-Managing Heterogeneous Cloud

CloudLightning proposes a novel cloud management and delivery architecture based on the principles of self-organisation and self-management that shifts the deployment and optimisation effort from the consumer to the software stack running on the cloud infrastructure. The goal of the CloudLightning project is to address an inefficient use of resources and consequently to deliver savings to the cloud provider and the cloud consumer in terms of reduced power consumption and improved service delivery, with hyperscale systems particularly in mind.
